Anne Knox has always enjoyed painting. Once her children left home for college, she had the time to focus on her craft. And since then, her body of work has taken off…. After selling a number of paintings in her phenomenal debut at a First Friday event in Augusta, Anne honed her talents by studying with a number of other talented artists. Since then, she has become an active member of the McDuffie Arts Council and garnered a number of awards: First Place at Arts in the Alley, 2009 and Best of Show at Arts in the Alley, 2010.
Anne’s work has evolved over time… an early focus on watercolors has given way to her current devotion to acrylics. Anne’s style is characterized by bold, bright strokes — and Anne’s eye captures colors that others would not see — giving her paintings a fresh, striking slant on otherwise everyday subjects.
